I heard she penned a good fic,
I heard she had a style
And so I found her web page
To read a little while.
And there she was, this author,
A stranger to my cache...

Strumming my muse with her keyboard,
Stealing my plot with her words.
Killing me softly with her fic,
Killing me softly with her fic.
Telling my stories in her words,
Killing me softly with her fic.

I felt just like a newbie,
Even my muse was wowed;
I felt she'd found my stories and
Laughed at them out loud.
I thought that she might falter
But she just wrote right on...

Strumming my muse with her keyboard,
Stealing my plot with her words.
Killing me softly with her fic,
Killing me softly with her fic.
Telling my stories in her words,
Killing me softly with her fic.

She posted fic to ASC,
Such tales I'd hope to style,
And then she skimmed right past me,
Like I'm in her kill-file.
But she was there, this stranger,
Writing clear and strong...

Strumming my muse with her keyboard,
Stealing my plot with her words.
Killing me softly with her fic,
Killing me softly with her fic.
Telling my stories in her words,
Killing me softly with her fic.
